I have real glamour shots, somewhere at my parents’ house. I must look into where they are now.
So anyways, its cold in the mornings, warm in the afternoons but not warm enough and definitely cold enough to keep me from going bare-legged. So some light blue tights to go along with stripes and orange fingernails & lips. A great look for sitting in one’s office and organizing paperwork, don’t you think?

I felt a bit like Rosie the Riveter in this outfit. Go, ladies, go.
In college, when my hair was a bit shorter and the underside was hot pink, I wore my hair up like this all the time. I just throw it up with some bobby pins and call it a day. But now its so uncommon for me to do this that two of my coworkers didn’t recognize me when I came into the office.
Here is a better close-up of my shoes that I last wore here.

I bought this scarf in London. Even though I was visiting in August, it turned out to be a lot cooler than I anticipated and I purchased it from one of those touristy stands. It was only £4 and I often wonder why I didn’t buy more. At the end of fall I was thinking about its light color, basically mint, and wondering whether I would really continue getting any more wear out of it.
Fashion trends are funny like that. Fast forward a few months and mint is everywhere and one of the “it” colors for spring. I now I have no more worries about whether my scarf has a future and yet - what changed? My scarf looks the same but I’ve been so influenced that I see it in an entirely different light. It kind of makes me uncomfortable, if I’m going to be real.

These pastel shades have been making the rounds of so many style blogs its impossible not to be influenced by them. Also: they’re pretty together.

These are from last Wednesday. I’ve been distracted as of late by nothing in particular.
I had the day off and spent it with my bff Janessa going out to lunch and doing some antiquing.
I hadn’t been to the E. N. Miller Antique Mall before and was impressed with how surprisingly large it was. I’ll plan to go back once we start getting some of the other rooms of our house in order.

Hey, welcome to my serious face. Its all up in this post.
Sometimes I have to wonder why I buy certain things, like these blue suede shoes which have turned out to not go that well with the rest of my closet. So I’ve worn them about 5 times in the past 18 months.
This is my Abe Lincoln necklace. I bought it after seeing Meghan McCain wearing a fancier version and felt the need to have my own.
Okay gotta go fix some chocolate chip cookies that I royally messed up. what’s that? this recipe needs 3/4 c. butter? Why don’t I just throw in a whole cup instead. Oof.

These are from yesterday. I would have posted them but instead I spent most of my evening trying to find a recipe for a grain-free, gluten-free quick “bread” made with greek yogurt. The search wasn’t all that successful.
But yesterday morning I got dressed in a jif because per (Monday morning) usual, I had woken up later than I wanted to. These jeans were in front of my closet (folded, so why couldn’t I have just put them into a drawer?) so I there them on and paired it with this super bright pink blouse which I’ve worn only once before and it was also on a Monday. My clothing will provide the enthusiasm that I lack for Mondays.
see, no enthusiasm in this picture.
and definitely not in this one either.

That no white between Labor & Memorial Day(s) - what does that apply to, exactly? Pants? Shoes?
Obviously I’m not that worried about a fashion faux pas because I don’t actually know that this “rule” is and also I really wanted to wear these new-to-me shoes, which are off-white. They remind me of the Bass Loves Rachel Antonoff collection.
I left my camera on a different picture style so these were a bit less saturated than I normally taken them which only means you can’t really appreciate how rocking my lips are. here is a better idea, if you wanted one. The lipstick is a Revlon Moon Drops lipstick and it stays on well for a really long time.

These camera settings and my poor self-photo taking skills didn’t capture these shoes in their entirety, so I’ll guess I’ll just have to try again next week.

*I was actually at Target wearing my navy tights when I made my purchases and then used the facilities, only to discover I had acquired a giant hole in my tights. So I walked back into the store, bought a new pair and put them on in the family bathroom.
